problem with new cd/dvd burner
When I tried to install the program subsequently, using the standard CD-ROM drive on the machine (which is what I had used to begin with) I found that the CD was not recognized. Not only the EZ CD Creator disk but any disk. In the Windows Explorer, I just kept getting the message CD not ready.

Also might help to replace the IDE cable and also check the jumpering on the drive. When a previously working drive stops or when its action becomes intermittent, ONE thing is for sure: it's not a jumper problem. It's also very unlikely that the cable is the cause. I have a CD-RW on the motherboard second IDE channel, as master to a SparQ drive, which run without any problems. DVD/CD drive problem...
In fact it would not run when I selected the "run" command. It simply quit working. I put a music CD in it again, it wouldn't launch the player either. If I launch the player manually, it does play the CD. I'm not sure what's going on here? This CD drive is also a DVD drive as well. Can anybody help me? Thanks.
